GRH Update

THE TREE GRH TREE NEEDS DRESSING

SOME YEARS AGO NOBODY KNEW WHO OWNED THE SMALL BIT OF LAND AT THE END OF GENTLEMAN’S ROW JUST BEFORE YOU TURN LEFT TO CROSS BARNEY’S BRIDGE.

It was untidy and covered in weeds so Carole, who lived in one of the houses close by, decided to plant a small collection of wild flowers. As the flowers grew and spread she added a Sumac tree sapling the following year.

Ten years have passed and still nobody knows who owns the small piece of ground but the sapling has taken hold and last year became the GRH Christmas Tree. So, again this year, the tree will be festooned in lights and decorations to add to the festive cheer in our streets.

But we need some help !

THIS TUESDAY DECEMBER 2nd  at  3.30pm

This coincides with the end of the school day so we would like to invite children and parents on their way home from school to give us a hand and hang one or more decorations on the tree.

It will be as good a time as any to say HAPPY CHRISTMAS
